2026 General Election Sample Ballot and Voting Information
The Meade County Clerk’s Office has received the official sample ballot for the General Election on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
The ballot includes federal, state, county, judicial, school board, and municipal races, as applicable to each voter’s precinct. Constitutional Amendment 1 will appear on ballots in all precincts.
Voters are encouraged to review the sample ballot before voting. Individual ballots may vary because some races are limited to specific precincts, districts, or cities.
Absentee Voting by Mail
The online portal for requesting a mail-in absentee ballot will be open September 19 through October 20, 2026.

The absentee ballot drop box will be located in the Meade County Courthouse hallway, across from the County Clerk’s Office:

In-Person Excused Absentee Voting
Eligible voters with a qualifying excuse may vote at the Meade County Clerk’s Office on the following dates:
• Wednesday, October 21
• Thursday, October 22
• Friday, October 23
• Monday, October 26
• Tuesday, October 27
• Wednesday, October 28
Voting will be available from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day.

No-Excuse Early Voting
Eligible Meade County voters who have not requested an absentee ballot may vote early on the following dates:
• Thursday, October 29
• Friday, October 30
• Saturday, October 31
Voting will be available from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day at:

Election Day Voting
Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Polling locations will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Precinct-Specific Voting Locations
The following locations are available only to voters registered in the listed precincts:
Ekron Elementary School
For voters in the Ekron, Buck Grove, and Guston precincts
Payneville Elementary School
For voters in the Wolf Creek-Concordia, Battletown, and Payneville precincts
Muldraugh City Hall
For voters in the Muldraugh precinct
Countywide Vote Centers
Any eligible Meade County voter may vote at either of the following locations, regardless of precinct:
• Stuart Pepper Middle School
• Flaherty Elementary School
Voting Machine Inspection Notice
The Meade County Board of Elections will meet at the Meade County Election Building on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at 9:00 a.m.
The Board will conduct its regular monthly meeting and inspect all voting machines to ensure they are properly set, as required by KRS 117.165.
