National Voter Registration Day - September 15, 2026
What happens after registration?
Washington votes by mail. Registered voters automatically receive a ballot, so no separate request is needed. Return postage is prepaid.
Remember to sign your return envelope. Return your ballot early by mail or place your ballot in an official drop box by 8 p.m. on November 3. Track your ballot at VoteWA.gov or text VOTE to 868392 for updates.
Need information in Spanish?
Spanish voter registration forms and election materials are available through the Washington Secretary of State. For help, call 1-800-448-4881 or contact your county elections office.
Take a few minutes on September 15 to check, update, or complete your registration. Then share VoteWA.gov with an eligible family member, friend, coworker, or neighbor. Getting ready early makes the voting process easier.
